Have you been studying with Russell? This is the kind of analogy he would use.

You will have to ask him about his sermon "Three Hots and a Cot" someday. (Nearly got him withdrawn from when the Sunday morning crowd read the title on the board)

Anyway, the good goose story teaches us that some animals are smarter than humans.

You are going to turn this into a sermon, right? We people who are required to be followers (ie, can't be leaders) need encouragement too.

Interesting that you would post something about gambling. You know that Kanawha County passed that new gaming center in Cross Lanes, right?

Recently our congregation held a meeting with Brother Ronny F. Wade. We lodged him and his wife at the Comfort Inn at Cross Lanes near the dog-race track. The first morning that they went down for breakfast, he overheard a woman say that she needed to check out early because she had a streak of bad luck at the track and couldn't stick around any longer.

Ronny is quoted as saying, "Placing a bet is the same thing as giving another man permission to rob you."

I agree. All the talk about a just God having murder as part of His plan is crazy talk. Our God could never use sin as a means of His Divine labor. He may allow such, but never would He instigate it, NEVER!

Ok I'm getting tired of this. I've posted three times on this crazy blog of yours only to see it disappear before I submit it!!!

I appreciate your comments on this subject brother J. I have to wonder if we as disciples are more often than not, used to taking the path of least resistance and when we hit bad times or resistance we literally aren't conditioned to handle the situation. I'm sure your TKD kicks are probably better now than they were when you started, simply because your conditioned better and more skilled in the artform. Tragedies are not fun so we often don't think about conditioning spiritually for handling such trauma.

In short it is my conviction that our prayers and physical support of the Shaw family for example during their struggle and very traumatic time, is a certainly a vital part of God's great plan on this earth. What other plan on earth, can console such a loss? As you stated, our Lord will not forsake his own and by faith he will console the grieving hearts of his children to a peaceful eternity as promised only to the triumphant saints of the triumphant church. No evil can take it from us, and praise to our Lord that we will get through this chaos someday, into the land of living, where we will live forever and never die.

Thanks for your words

I totally agree with being angry that the Texas state is 'forcing' the drug to be taken. But from my point of view, it's a savior. I'm sixteen and have been on birth control pills to help regulate my periods. I was told by my yearly pap test that I have abnormal cells that could lead to the cervical cancer. I am sixteen years old... and I was told that I needed to get tested to see if I do have the cancer. Do you realize how big of an impact that is on my life? Now yes, I am still very young and it could be nothing and I was born with my hemogobulin (sp?) levels backwards, so I have a horrible immune system so it could be that. I would like to have children one day instead of being six months pregnant and I could die and loose the baby at the same time.

I do agree with the 11 and 12 year olds not needing it as soon. Possibly when they get into high school or even towards the end of high school but at 11? I don't think so.
And it might seem that they are promoting it, but it's just as bad as your kid going to school and dealing with the other girls and boys. And if your child makes that mistake(if you look at it that way) of having sex then that is there problem. The vaccine is just to help prevent it. Like the polio vaccine we get when we are born.

Maybe it's just because I've been threatened that I may have Cervical Cancer, or maybe it's just because I think it would be best for girls more around my age (16 and up) to make the choice to get it, but I do think it's a big breakthrough. :)
